Can you do newspaper nails without alcohol

In my opinion, I'd say you should use hand sanitizer because i've tried it and it works really great!! Just follow the exact steps : Sorry if it doesn't work for you.. I recommend you try it because it might just work really well! Good Luck! The brand I used was 'Dettol' and this worked times better than I expected!!! This probably sounds stupid, but could you use lambrini alcohol??

Could you use nail polish remover?? Instead of asking her, if you have the product to hand, why don't you try it? A smidge on a cotton pad isn't going to 'waste' more than 2 ml of whatever you're trying! Mouthwash Listerine worked okay for me - the ink showed, but it was faint. Then I tried perfume, and I'm absolutely shocked with the results! Perfume worked insanely well - I could leave the newspaper strip on my nail for less than half the time, ans the ink doesn't smudge at all.

I just sprayed the strip twice with perfume and put it on my nail for about sec. Hello, I am doing a 28 day nail art challenge in February, to help demonstrate a style I linked this post to mine. Thank you for being awesome!! Hi, I am allergic to nuts, including almond extract so it wouldn't be a good idea to use that. Would any flavour extract work as well as the almond one?

I just tried it with a cheap Perfume and it worked really well, a good way to get rid of purfume you don't like I tried hand sanitizer and it worked well better then water or any other thing Pages Home About Me.

I noticed that so many people are wondering if you can do Newspaper nails without alcohol vodka. I wrote this Newspaper Nails Tutorial , and I used vodka. Here's my second part to that which showcases other things you may have around your house to use instead of vodka. And if you're under 21 or 18 depending on your country , you can still do Newspaper Nails!! All nails were done with the tutorial I linked to above. It can make a HUGE difference. I tried this with Essie Nice is Nice and the print came out too pale.

Just know that pale newsprint may not be due to your technique at all, it may be your base coat. Unfortunately, though, I had to redo this nail several times to get it to look this way. I don't know if it's my nail shape or the rubbing alcohol, but it kept missing parts of the text.

The intensity of the text is great, though. Vodka This transfers the text SO quickly. If you're looking to do this quickly, vodka is the best out of all of them. Intensity is very similar to the rubbing alcohol, but I don't feel I can do a complete comparison because some text didn't transfer right with the rubbing alcohol, which makes it look more faint.

Hand Sanitizer Nope. Didn't work. Well, sorta worked, but no where NEAR as well as the others. I'd definitely say don't even bother. Almond Extract Umm, yes please!! I cannot believe how well this came out. I think it's my favorite. The text is very sharp, the color is very dark, and the extract smelled delicious!! The texture of the extract makes it very easy to keep it on one spot on the nail.

I think that helps attribute to how well it works. Which do I think is the best? Honestly, I vote the Almond Extract. Overall Opinion: If you're looking for something besides vodka, go with an extract. The Almond Extract I used is clear I say this because some extracts are not clear , and it lists alcohol as the second ingredient next to water.

Even if you have vodka, I still suggest trying an extract. The results are amazing. I'm sure other extracts, such as vanilla, orange, mint, etc would work fine, but the vanilla extract I have isn't clear, so I thought that might cause problems. The almond extract was clear. While your nails are drying, find any newspaper on-hand or get a foreign-language paper for a cooler, abstract design! Cut ten 2" x 1" strips one for each nail , and set aside. Begin applying the newspaper only after your nails are completely dry.

Dab rubbing alcohol on the nail bed with your finger or dip the whole nail into a small bowl of rubbing alcohol. Then, dip one newspaper strip into your small bowl of alcohol and shake it out. Overlay that newspaper strip directly on the nail bed and don't move! Most newspapers are double-sided anyway, but make sure you position the strip ink-side down.

Take an alcohol-dampened paper towel and apply light pressure on the nail like a temporary tattoo. After 10 full seconds, slowly peel off the strip and you'll see the ink imprint.

Repeat this process for each nail. Allow nails to dry again for five full minutes, then seal the deal with your favorite top coat. Nail art might seem difficult but it's not and you can create some incredible effects yourself at home. In this tutorial, you'll learn how to make newspaper nails, which gives new meaning to having the latest information at your fingertips!!

Wash your hands with mild soap before painting your nails. This will wash off any germs or bacteria on your hands and nails while also cleaning off any dirt. Apply a solid basecoat to protect your nails. This is optional, but it makes the color show up better and protects it.

Make sure to let it dry thoroughly. Paint your nails in a light grey, nude, or light pink nail polish color. Let it dry thoroughly before doing the next step. Pour a bit of rubbing alcohol or water into the cap or into a small jar.

Dip each nail into the rubbing alcohol for about 5 seconds each. Take a small piece of newspaper. Press it firmly on your nail for a few seconds. Peel it off carefully. You'll find that the ink from the newspaper will be left behind.

Get a cotton bud and some nail polish remover to remove any excess nail polish that has gotten onto your fingers. Do not touch your nails with the nail polish remover, or your work will come off. Apply a topcoat to your nails. This is needed because without it, the newspaper will rub off. It also gives your nail some extra shine. You can use water instead, but it leaves a lighter lettering on the nail. For a more intense lettering, use alcohol. Yes No.
