Around 65, thoughts go through our minds each day. Unfortunately, in the case of most people, the majority of them are negative. Or makes disparaging comments when you look in the mirror? We all know that voice. It makes you think twice before starting a business or considering a career change. The way to start exterminating the ANTs in your head is to begin paying attention to them.
Notice when you hear that disparaging voice, and recognize how frequently it happens. For years, every time I looked in the mirror, all I saw were my flaws. Finally, I started practicing the exact opposite reaction — flipping the switch. Once you identify when your ANTs typically show up, apply a thought process that allows you to essentially think yourself past them. Often, just taking one positive step in the right direction is enough to shut those ANTs up.
Losing weight. Being happier at work. Women think about problems more holistically and are more collaborative problem solvers. These are the kind of qualities you need on your team when embracing change. As our business evolve, it is the path of least resistance, but not always the best path, to form anything new based only on our current understandings and skill sets.
Being in a position of power, others get dragged into our processes. But if we make ourselves vulnerable to accepting the thoughts of others, we may not only positively shift our mindset but also become better leaders. The more time and effort you've invested in something, the more likely you are to stay attached to it--even if pivoting or walking away is the sounder choice.

There are many ways this can be done but what I most want to convey is that for most this one can really take some time. I have worked diligently at this — and while I still struggle sometimes — for the most part, it has been a game-changer! The negativity will always creep in if you let it. BUT, here is the cool thing…. You are in charge of your own thoughts and no one can take that away from you.
See, you have a choice in every situation that arises to see it for the negative or see it for the positive. With practice, you can train your mind to search for the positive and make that your focus. Doing this can almost immediately snap you out of a bad mood! You get to decide how your day will go. You get to set the tone each morning when you wake.
It will be! Things make more sense later when the emotions have settled and you are able to be more objective. Positive thinking is like a muscle. You have to train it.
